Giving for a better future

The disparity between the ‘haves and the have nots’ is alarming. Poverty is all around us. On our doorstep and farther afield.

We can raise awareness by talking about it, but someone has to take those words and turn them into action.

That’s why I aim to bring love, joy, and hope to the lives of underprivileged children, both in the US and farther afield, by running (and providing the equipment for) Pickleball camps and events.

Encouragement through sport can make a huge impact on the way a young person sees themself. A positive word, a new skill, a new experience makes all the difference to any child, let alone an orphan.

You know yourself that feeling you get from being coached, encouraged, and supported… and finally nailing that 3rd shot drop. That’s the joy and the positive impact I want to bring to these children.

My aim is to:

Give children a chance to experience being part of a community.

Let them experience the feeling that somebody loves them and wants them to do well.
Help them to forget, if only for a short while, the challenges they face or have faced.
Fuel their hope for a brighter future.

To give the children these experiences, I’ve teamed up with two non-profit organizations:

Score International has a major impact on the lives of underprivileged children by partnering with churches, schools, athletic teams, and others through short-term mission trips.

With your help, I can help.

For each event we organize, we buy and donate all the equipment, from paddles to balls and nets. We teach the staff. We leave them with all the equipment so they can continue to benefit long after we’ve been there.

All donations go to the cost of travel, and equipment. Everything else, we give freely and willingly.

Change Communities

Encouragement through sport can change lives by instilling confidence, diligence and core values. For $25, a young person will receive targeted instruction through our pickleball camps and specific technique advice.

For $50, a young person will receive a paddle of their own and a place on a pickleball camp, as well as the opportunity to learn and play with a pro, make friends at our pickleball camps, and learn how to be a champion.

Inspire the next generation
From $100

Share this brilliant sport with children from underprivileged communities, and inspire the next generation of pickleball players. $100 will help towards purchasing a net so that young players can practice between camps.
